Benzene has been detected in these lots of products. While benzene is not an ingredient in any of our products, our review showed that unexpected levels of benzene came from the propellant that sprays the product out of the can. Benzene is classified as a human carcinogen.

Daily exposure to benzene at the levels detected in the recalled products would not be expected to cause adverse health consequences based on generally accepted exposure modeling by numerous regulatory agencies.

Benzene is prevalent in the environment. Humans around the world have daily exposures to it indoors and outdoors from multiple sources.

To date, we have not received any reports of adverse events related to these products and we are conducting this recall out of an abundance of caution and with the FDA’s knowledge.

• Sure Regular Antiperspirant Aerosol (6 oz) (UPC 00883484002025); and
• Sure Unscented Antiperspirant Aerosol (6 oz) (UPC 00883484002278).

For the following select product, if the Lot Number is less than 21305:

• Brut Classic Deodorant Aerosol (10 oz) (UPC 00827755070047).
